Anti-bribery management systems ISO 37001:2025 – Transition timeline

As part of the transition from ISO 37001:2016 to the new ISO 37001:2025 standard, and in accordance with the decision of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF MD 30:2025), a two-year transition period has been established for the implementation of the new standard. Specifically, the following apply:

• Until 30.08.2026, organizations may conduct initial certification audits according to the previous version, ISO 37001:2016. From 31.08.2026, initial certification audit shall be carried out exclusively according to the new version, ISO 37001:2025.
• The transition period ends on 28.02.2027. All certificates issued under ISO 37001:2016 will be suspended or withdrawn at the end of this period.
• All Certificates issued under ISO 37001:2016 during the transition period must reflect this deadline, regardless of whether the standard three-year validity period is completed.
• Organizations holding ISO 37001:2016 certification may migrate to ISO 37001:2025 during their annual surveillance audits, with prior written notification to our Body.
