The environmental and occupational health and safety management systems of Maccaferri Balkans has been audited by TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas Ltd, according to the international standards ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
“Maccaferri Balkans” is part of the Officine Maccaferri Group, world leader in the field of Geotechnics and Environmental Solutions and produces and sells materials manufactured in the plant with an area of 40,000 m2 and 200 employees located in Shijak, Albania.
ISO 14001 certification focuses on recognition of the environmental impacts of the organization’s operations, in order to minimize them and enhance its environmental performance.
Through ISO 45001 certification, the organisation focuses on the effective control of all occupational risks for all interested parties (employees, visitors, suppliers, local community etc), and on achieving improvements in overall Health and Safety performance in the workplace.
