TUV AUSTRIA Academy presents the innovative training program, “RISK MANAGEMENT/ Operational Risk Management” that is appropriate and can be applied in cases of management of qualitative and quantitative risks (business, operational, industrial, economic, social, safety, environmental, etc.)

This methodology, as a management tool, has proven to be applicable to companies of all sectors of activity, i.e. tourism, industries, government, service delivery, banking, health and many others, of all sizes and configurations. It is mainly addressed to middle-level and above executives (Heads of Teams, Departments, Directors).

What does the Training Program provide ?

Purpose of the training program:

To understand and distinguish the concepts of risk [hazard, hazard, hazard, consequence (impact)] and what their management consists of.

Risk Management is an effective business practice for dealing with unwanted situations and unexpected threats, used and implemented by many companies of all sectors of activity internationally.

The methodology, as a management tool,

• addresses risk holistically rather than one-sidedly and refers more to the broader concept of risk than to risk.
• identifies (sees) the two dimensions of the risk: probability and severity.
• it is considered appropriate and ideal to be applied in the case of management of any form of risk as it is at the same time qualitative and not only quantitative, such as the statistical methods used in finance.

In addition, participants will acquire the ability to distinguish when:

1. a risk can lead to an “unfortunate” fact and that it could be avoided if proactive measures are implemented.
2. a hazard can turn into an “unfortunate or unfavorable event” and has at least one root cause factor. If this root cause is eliminated, then the fact will be completely avoided.
3. what other indirect factors may influence the probability and severity of a risk that will develop into a possible ” unfortunate or unfavorable event “.

With the application of Risk Management, its coding (risk) is provided with the help of a table (Risk Matrix – Cube) that helps to better estimate it overall, with coordinates the probability and severity.
