Who Is it Addressed To?
The Certification concerns the specialized executive of an Organization who, within the framework of his responsibilities, develops, implements and reviews, when required, internal controls, policies and procedures to ensure the compliance of the Organization with the applicable Νational and Ιnternational legislation, the applicable regulations and standards and the prevention and settlement of legal rules’ and internal policies’ violations, provides advisory support and guidance to the Management of the Organization in matters of risk management, regulatory compliance, internal controls and corporate governance, plans and implements training of the Organization’s employees and associates for the obligations arising from the applicable legislation, regulations and standards, in order to raise their awareness within the framework of compliance policy and rules.
Participation Prerequisites
Applicants wishing to participate in the scheme’s examination mechanism must have completed at least 21 years of age and be at least a graduate of higher education or have three years (3 years) of professional experience either in the position of a Compliance Officer or in a Compliance Division. In case the candidates of higher education do not have a degree in Law, Business Administration or Economics and related studies, then their theoretical training, for about 40 hours, in Compliance of Organizations is a prerequisite.
Certification Procedure
The examination process consists of a theoretical and a practical examination.
Upon successful completion of the examinations (theoretical and practical parts), the professional is awarded a certificate of compliance that is valid for five years.
The Certification procedure for this specialization is Accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System (E.SY.D.), National Accreditation System (E.SY.D.), in accordance with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17024 International Standard.
