Crisis Management
Detailed Description
TUV Austria presents the useful crisis management training program, the implementation of which is designed to help an organization deal with a sudden and significant negative event, to overcome critical situations created from time to time and to develop mechanisms that contribute to the achievement of strategic goals, as part of its business continuity.
This methodology, as a management tool, has proven to be applicable to companies of all sectors of activity, i.e. tourism, industries, government, service delivery, banking, health and many others, of all sizes and configurations. It is mainly addressed to middle-level and above executives (Heads of Teams, Departments, Directors).
After the completion of the seminar, a Certificate of Attendance of TÜV AUSTRIA ACADEMY is issued. Duration: 8 hours
What does the Training Program provide?
The purpose of the training program is:
- participants to understand and distinguish the causes of a crisis
- understand the “mechanism” (methodology) in minimizing the damage caused by a crisis by applying management practices, before, during and after a crisis.
- identify in a timely manner the best way to react when an event occurs (negative)
- recognize the roles and responsibilities of each in a crisis management team
- be able to prepare a crisis management plan (CMP) to address a critical situation that will negatively affect the organization / company owned
- be able to identify any event which has the potential to damage the operation, performance, results or reputation of their organisation;
- identify the lifecycle of a corporate crisis
- to effectively manage situations and factors (stress, emotion, haste, conflicts, etc.) that are an obstacle to the proper management of a crisis
- separate the 4 stages of a crisis
1: Pre-crisis
2: Crisis
3: Duration
4: After the crisis
- implement appropriate steps for crisis management
- preparing for deterrence
- (event / event) management
- recognition
- checking
- confrontation
- analysis and lessons learned after the event (the crisis)
In addition, participants will acquire the ability to distinguish when:
- a risk can lead to an “unfortunate” fact and that it could be avoided if proactive measures are implemented.
- a hazard can turn into an “unfortunate or unfavorable event” and has at least one root cause factor. If this root cause is eliminated, then the fact will be completely avoided.
- what other indirect factors may influence the probability and severity of a risk that will develop into a possible ” unfortunate or unfavorable event “.
With the application of Risk Management, its coding (risk) is provided with the help of a table (Risk Matrix – Cube) that helps to better estimate it overall, with coordinates the probability and severity.
