Globalization, the intensity of international competition, increased customer demands, the dominance of e-business and the complexity of today’s supply systems are some of the modern trends that mandate the integration of technology in the supply chain. The role of technology is a catalyst in creating and maintaining efficient information, material and capital flows within the supply chain.
The technology enhances the cooperation of the members of the supply chain, creates a competitive advantage for all member companies and gives added value to the services/products it offers to the customer.
Various technological tools and systems are used in the broad sense of supply chain management and we need to know which, how, when and why to implement.
The efficiency of existing technologies and the development of new ones in supply chain and logistics contexts are critical issues for modern businesses that now operate in extended business networks.

What does the Training Program Provide ?
Purpose
In the specific educational program:
- We will attempt to analyze and classify them, while emphasis will be placed on the most modern and integrated applications that connect all supply chain functions under a common strategy and guarantee a common benefit for all members of the chain.
- We will show that the concepts of supply chain management and information and communication technology are so strongly linked that there is confusion as to their strategic prioritization. Also, to answer the key question which is whether most technology applications are limited to the operational level or to individual activities within the supply chain.
- We will see what the Role of technology should be in creating value and competitive advantage for businesses and by extension for the entire supply chain. Specifically, we will study the driving forces that push the supply chain to adopt technology, in relation to:
- the pressure of international competition
- globalization,
- the need to reduce costs
- the improvement of quality and
- the automation of relations with our partners, suppliers and customers
