Transition to the New ISO 45001:2018 Standard

It is a fact that Occupational Health & Safety are a fundamental right of the employee, as well as being integral and special parts of a company’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Strategy.

In this context, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems based on standards such as ISO 45001, are a key tool for systematizing actions to prevent accidents, where at the same time they promote, among others, the cultivation of an appropriate culture for the training and awareness of employees.

With the new ISO 45001 standard, which is going to replace the OHSAS 18001 standard, the ability of companies to deal with risks is strengthened, but also to identify opportunities to improve the health and safety of employees, and the role of employees and others is upgraded interested parties.

The training program is addressed to Business Managers, Occupational Health & Safety Managers, Internal Inspectors, Management Systems Development Consultants, but also to those who are involved in any way in implementing or monitoring the implementation of such a management system.

During the implementation of the above training, the new Terminology and the new requirements introduced by the new version will be analyzed and all the possible benefits that a company can obtain from the application of the new ISO 45001:2018 standard, which replaces the OHSAS18001:2007, such as: increasing its ability to operate safely, address risks and opportunities, and the controls it must put in place to minimize risks and capitalize on opportunities, as well as the homogeneity it offers the application of ANNEX SL (for the requirements of all management systems);
