Detailed Description

This Training Program is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to welding technology.

It is addressed to Engineers, Foremen and Technicians who deal with welding.

The educational program analyzes:

• Arc Welding Basics,
• Weld metal properties and defects,
• Arc welding methods,
• basic materials,
• Design of welded joints – symbolization of welds,
• Welding errors – possible causes,
• Visual inspection – NDT,
• Certification Standards – WPS Analysis
• Also, welding procedures for special materials with application in the energy and chemical industry as well as shipping are presented.

The training program covers a description of the basic MKE/NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods for the detection and evaluation of errors, includes reference – analysis of the international standards for the certification of welding processes and welders. By completing the Training Program, the participants will have acquired a basic knowledge about fusion welding processes, which are widely used in most industrial – construction applications. After completing the training program, a Certificate of Attendance is granted by TÜV AUSTRIA ACADEMY.
