Who Is it Addressed To?
This Certification in intended for specialized professionals who provide advice and information on the proper storage, conservation, serving and common defects of wines; provide advice and information on the main factors affecting the wine-growing practice, such as location, vinification, maturation and bottling; provide technical/economic studies and advice on the options available in winemaking, maturation and bottling processes that can affect the style, quality and price of wines; recognize in detail the quality, style and price of wines in wine-producing areas and regions of the main reproductive countries of the world; evaluate and identify the characteristics, quality and commercial value of wine-making products, etc.
Certification Procedure:
The Certification Scheme consists of 2 levels.
The examination process for Level 1 consists of a theoretical examination, while for Level 2 it consists of a theoretical and a practical examination.
Upon successful completion of the examinations (theoretical and practical parts), the professional is awarded a certificate of compliance that is valid for five years.
The Certification procedure for this specialization is Accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System (E.SY.D.), National Accreditation System (E.SY.D.), in accordance with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17024 International Standard.
